Let's be
honest
No one wakes up on a Monday morning feeling excited.
Today is the start of my new goal in making every Monday a little brighter at the very start. With the holidays in full swing; Christmas shopping, decorating, and the daily grind it's hard to stay focused on just one thing. I find myself re-evaluating the work week and trying to fit in appointments on top of day-to-day duties and it can sometimes lead me on a whole different agenda. Such as today!
With that being said, I've decided that while the tasks still need to be accomplished it's OK to break routine every now and again. While waiting on my morning french press to finish brewing I realized I had completely forgotten about my bundle pear purchase. I wish I could say that we commonly eat all of the fruit we purchase before it goes bad, but truth be told it simply doesn't last and it's usually a regretted purchase, however a good of a thought in theory.
THOUGH THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT.
The first thought? How am I going to eat 5 pears...
The second thought? Well, in a pear custard tart of course!

Sometimes you need to take a moment and do something mindlessly tasteful to help get on track. Take that moment to pause, recollect, and plan out your day while eating something delicious. :)
