June 12, 2016 was a day that no one could anticipate. At a time where the nightmares of reality set in for the friends and families of the victims of the Pulse massacre, Mandi Illene with BASE Orlando helped create a haven of beauty and art to ease our troubled hearts. While I photographed these 49 models (most of them carrying the names of the victims they were to represent)  it need not be said that everyone felt a mix of emotions. At a time so tainted by the darkest of our kind, I couldn't help but feel a glimpse of joy from the love and strength from our city.
