Upon first talking with Amber about her Matthew’s special day I could tell we were going to make a great match. Here’s a little insight to about how the conversation went…
Alice — How would you describe the style/theme of your wedding day?
Amber — “Classy Christmas”
Alice — I. AM. DOWN.
Match made in heaven! There’s nothing I love more than a vintage bride with a modern outlook. She thrifted everything she could to make it as authentic to the time as possible, including her wedding dress, Matthew’s attire, and the her wedding ring. Amber DIY’d particular items that truly gave it a unique style and flair. Such as her bouquet and invitations.
Amber thought about how she would integrate her and Matthew’s own unique style with that of an otherwise traditional look of a church wedding. Being that Blake Memorial Church was already decorated for the holiday they simply added subtle red, green, and gold accents to tie in the underlining Christmas theme. Amber wore her red lipstick and her aunt (who officiated the wedding) and wore a green. Amber also had her mom wear red, and Matthew’s mom wear green to coordinate. Everyone worked together to help create the look. Amber and Matthew both loved the look of the stained glass so after the ceremony we took to the walls and let the light [LOVE] shine. ;)
Tell me about your love story…
“Matt and I met online when he moved back to Florida after living in Michigan for years. He was in the midst of starting a new music project on his own when we met. We both bonded over music because we both loved dream pop and some lesser known bands. I helped get his band started and even helped write and singe his first single, “Cathedral Bells”. Together we toured and played shows in the whole western U.S. and N.Y.C. He makes me laugh everyday (either with him or at him lol). I love being creative together and achieving our goals. I am so happy to be spending the rest of my life with him.”
