QUALITY TIME
Stephanie and Jason had their ceremony at The Acre and their reception at The Wellborn in October of 2020. Stephanie had reached out to me much like many of my other clients had this past year. She had shared with me that her and her fiancé were downsizing their wedding due to the pandemic.
As I replied I thought — I get it. It’s a shame, but everyone’s safety is important. It truly sucks that some of your guests who you imagined would be there on your wedding day either can’t make it or shouldn’t make it for their wellbeing. What a wild time.
My second thought — If we look past that, there is one bright side to this overall seeming downfall, and it totally works out to be in my clients favor.
Even though the amount of people attending your wedding may be less, the truth is that we are going to get to spend more QUALITY time together which can most certainly lead into capturing more real and authentic moments.
And let’s be real. We all love love.

As I was capturing these moments Stephanie shared with me that Jason actually helped pick out her dress. I look back and I think, that must have been the first time I’ve ever heard of a bride and groom going dress shopping together. While to me it was unheard of, for them it made sense.
It was such a beautiful moment to capture.
This moment of being together as a family.
It brought tears to my eyes.
I knew then, that I was going to craft these captured moments into a harmonious blend of old and new.
