I first began photographing the Roebuck family several years ago. First I photographed Emily (Landon’s older sister) at Bridle Oaks Barn , then Katie (also Landon’s sister) in Downtown DeLand, and now it’s finally Landon’s turn for senior portraits! I was so excited when Denise Roebuck — aka proud Momma of these three young adults reached out to me to capture this milestone for Landon. Unlike the previous photoshoots we had done, Landon had the idea of doing the session on his uncle’s private property in Deltona.
We started our session at 7:30 am. JUST before it got so excruciatingly hot and muggy outside, as typical Florida weather can be this time of year.
Upon driving to the household I had no idea what I was in store for or what backdrops we would have, but I was so pleased to see that the property was just glowing with soft light and tall trees.
Landon’s grandparents, cousins, and girlfriend also joined in on some shots. We even included Landon’s truck, his aunt’s VW bug, AND the Roebuck trailer.
Check it out. ;)
Senior sessions come but once a lifetime (usually lol). I remember when I was in high school, 10 ** cough ** +YEARS ago. Nevermind the timeframe, I remember getting my yearbook, but I never truly got any creative portraits or photos with my family or friends. Looking back I really wish I had. Wether it be with AAG or not, being able to have personalized images with your immediate family who has been there for you in times of support and love is simply priceless.
Special thanks to the Roebuck family for having me!
